About Hal

Why am I running for
re-election as Mayor?

The past 3 ½ years have shown me that I can serve the people in my community with friendly, experienced leadership; I listen to problems with compassion and seek solutions. The ongoing needs, developments, and operation of a safe and striving municipality are of great concern to me. I work for today and for the future of BATESVILLE. Since my first official day as Mayor, I have been available, transparent and accountable to the citizens of Batesville, and I always will be.

Having the opportunity to serve Batesville’s citizens has made these 3 ½ years some of the most memorable in my life. I am constantly inspired by your dedication to help our citizens succeed; each success makes the community better. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do to make Batesville all it can be.

As we prepare for the 2025 election, I am excited for all that is to come and all that we will accomplish together. Let’s stay energized to tackle what lies ahead.

Celebrations and Events

Beyond the scope of municipal business, for 3 ½ years there have been numerous activities encouraging local and visitor participation and providing an array of experiences or opportunities for people to: celebrate America, salute successes, announcements of future growth, and share ways to help others. Have you been a part of scouting ceremonies, holiday programs, plays, ribbon-cuttings or concerts?  I have enjoyed formally welcoming individuals or groups to Batesville and also presenting awards, tributes, and proclamations to some of our leaders, children and young people, athletic winners, organizations, factories, contest winners, and people who are giving of themselves to make Batesville be all it can be. On Facebook page Hal Ferrell for Mayor there are explanations and photographs of some of these actions.

Continue to spread optimism,
and remember, Batesville is on the map!

Let's make Batesville all it can be!
